1940s Carmen's ChaCha Costume | Vintage 40s Black & Pink Tropical Floral Cotton Dancer Dress w/Tulle Ruffles Lace and Fruit Dangles | Small

With a conga beat you'll be dancing in the street in this too fun 1940's dance costume! This well used "StageCraft" piece is packed with eye catching accents. The main fabric is cotton in black and blush pink with a large tropical floral pattern while hot pink grosgrain ribbon and ric rac trim the cuffs and triple tiers of the skirt along with blush pink eyelet lace. Dangling pompoms, some as standard balls and others styled like strawberries, are dotted sporadically on the skirt and concentrated on the right shoulder. The asymmertic aspect of the shoulder pompoms is also seen in the styling of the sleeves with the non pompom sleeve have more exaggerated ruffles. The bodice is given flattering shaping with the seamwork, being very fitted down to the hips where the extravagent skirt flares with such volume that you can feel it in the weight. Hot pink tulle ruffles line inside the skirt perfect for some cancan moves. Metal "talon" zipper with loop pull up the back. This costume is in fair vintage condition, presents well overall with areas of fade, mends, a few missing dangles, and some hard to find holes in the voluminous skirt. No stains or odors to note.
