1800s Victorian Dandy Three-Piece Suit | Vintage Antique Black Wool 3-Piece Swallowtail Buckle-Back Set Dated 1898! | Size 38 Medium

Take a stroll down the boulevard wearing the finery of a gentleman from another era in this late-Victorian turn of the century suit! Soft black wool throughout all three pieces. Swallowtail jacket features high two-button closure, with pairs of matching cloth-covered buttons at each cuff, notch lapels with two added buttonholes (a remnant of Regency/early-Victorian eras), jetted chest pocket, shapely back seaming with two more decorative cloth-covered buttons at the waist, fully lined in combed cotton with one inner chest pocket and two glove-pockets in the tails. Vest has a matching 5-button closure, shawl collar, and four jetted pockets with one inner pocket. Lined in cotton and backed in black combed cotton with a back-adjuster. Trousers feature a buckle-back, a full set of steel outer-suspender buttons, flat front, button-fly, 5 pockets with gorgeous top-stitched seaming, and slanted cuffs. This suit dates to the late-1800s and includes a note detailing the original owner from 1898. This suit is in incredibly great vintage condition for its age and generous size, even the cotton lining the arms is in wonderful, stable shape! No holes, stains, nor odors to note.
