1940s Strap In For Success Suit | Vintage 40s “Lilli Ann” Grey Point Twill Wool Jacket and Skirt Set with Avant Garde Button Lines | Medium

Success will be had when you strap in and strap up in this 1940's "Lilli Ann" suit! Made of a point twill wool combining black and white for an overall stoney grey look, this suit will have people talking with it's avant garde fastenings. The right side of the jacket has two groups of four straps radiating towards the opening and held down with tortoise shell style buttons. The actual fastening is done with hooks and eyes and one functional button that holds the waist. This strap detail is also seen at the right cuff and the back yoke has rows of curved seamwork. The rest of the jacket features what we expect of a classic "lilli Ann", strong shoulders, hourglass seaming, and full rayon crepe lining. The pencil skirt has a partial lining, knife kick pleat, and metal "Talon" zipper with button on the side. This suit is in great vintage condition, a couple tiny period mends but no holes, stains, nor odors to note.
