1940s Smashing Sharp Suit | Vintage 40s Single-Breasted Peak-Lapel Midnite Blue Wool Two-Piece Set with Sky Blue Pinstripes | Size 38 Medium

You'll drive them crazy as a sharp dressed man in this swell 1940s suit! Midnight blue wool with sky-blue pinstripes. Jacket features rare and sought-after single-breasted and wide peak-lapel cut, perfectly framing the height of deco mens fashion. Also tailored with a two-button closure, trios of matching cuff buttons, jetted chest pocket, two welted hip pockets, with one inner pocket, butterfly lining, shoulder pads, and unvented back. Trousers include a flat-front, 5 pockets with one buttoning in the back, dropped belt loops, healthy wide cuffs, with a steel Talon zip and button closure and a full set of inner suspender buttons. While we didn't come across any exact dating of this suit, we're extremely confident it's from the early-1940s. Single-breasted peak-lapels were only around for a short window, completely gone before the 50s, and while it could be late-30s, the zip-fly and dropped belt loops are more likely 1940s. This suit is in great vintage condition, with no holes, stains, odors to note.
