1940s "Adrian" About the Town Suit | Vintage 40s Red & Blue Wool Twill + Rayon Gabardine Hollywood Designer Color Block Ensemble | Medium

You'll be going Hollywood strutting about town in this rare 1940's suit by the renown designer for the stars "Gilbert Adrian"! You'll be decked out like Joan Crawford in this color block set utilizing navy blue wool twill for the jacket and engine red rayon gabardine for the skirt. The jacket includes accents of red to match the skirt and is fully lined with rayon crepe. It also features a collar-less neckline with looped tabs, strongly padded shoulders, decorative brass anchor buttons, pockets, and beautiful seaming on the back in decorative curvy and angular military-esque designs. It is worn mainly open with just a tie at the waist and these also make accents on the cuffs. The skirt is full and flared with a high wide waistband and large patch pockets. Fastens on the side with metal "Talon" zipper and button. This suit is in great vintage condition, with a couple very tiny period mends but no holes, stains, nor odors to note. Knit blouse from our own collection.

Once the garment is back in my hands, I can refund for the price of the item -10% to cover Etsy platform & payment processing fees (Free Shipping items -20%).
