1800s Purple Pearlie Princess Dress Ensemble | Vintage Antique Victorian Combed Cotton Bodice and Skirt with Shell Buttons Rare Set | Small

The crowd will part to make way for a princess like you when you walk down the avenue in this Victorian set! This fantastic ensemble is a rare piece of history representing the spirit of London's working class as they would heavily adorn clothing with mother of pearl buttons to mimic the frivolous fashion of the upper class. They were known as "Pearlie Kings and Queens" and the royal purple of the sleek combed cotton will no doubt have you feeling like royalty. The bodice has mutton sleeves, and ultra pointy front waist, and functional shell buttons in addition to the many decorative ones. The skirt is heavily gathered at the waist, has a hook and eye closure, and the shell buttons are thoughtfully placed in V formations. This set is in great vintage condition with no holes, stains, nor odors to note.

Returns/Exchanges: We accept returns or exchanges if contacted and sent back within two days of delivery. Once the garment is back in my hands, I can refund for the price of the item -10% to cover Etsy platform & payment processing fees (Free Shipping items -20%).
