1930s Stetson Summer Boater | Vintage 30s Pressed Woven Straw Hat with Black & White Striped Grosgrain Ribbon Bow Trim | Size 7 1/4 Large

Channel the spirit of old black & whites in this 1930’s boater! This classic boater hat is made of yeddo (knotted straw) that has been pressed and woven with a "flex" layer around the inside of the brim and is decorated with a black & white grosgrain ribbon around the crown, perfect for a picnic or old movie outing! It has a leather hat band and a silk branded head guard in the crown. Marked "Stetson Select” and sold by "The Wardrobe Store for Men" of San Jose, California. We're fascinated that "shower proof" would be an advertised quality of such a summer hat! This hat is in great vintage condition and still very sound, with what looks like one tiny nick and no holes, stains, or odors to note.
