Imagine yourself slipping into this debonair 1920's smoking jacket after dinner and pouring yourself a nice cognac and lounging in luxury! This muddled basque green-brown wool is double sided with stripes of crimson, rust, and orange revealed on the shawl lapel, cuffs, and the faux flaps of the three patch pockets. Trimmed in black taped ends all around the edges, turned-up cuffs, and three patch pockets.Single-button closure with matching cuff buttons. The jacket is unlined revealing the stripes inside as well. From the "Meigs & Co" with a fantastic Art Nouveau label from Bridgeport, Connecticut with the latin "Semper Paratus" which translates to "Always Ready" and is used by the US Coast Guard! Perfect. Nearly flawless for a piece that's almost 100 yrs. old. Efficient and quick packaging. This is my third purchase from your site. Everything is quality - pristine or at least above average for vintage. Thank you for existing.
